Each community in the municipality offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing lifestyle, the company of good friends and neighbors and the beauty of the surrounding natural areas.


There are many different activities that bring the communities together, from coffee houses and game nights to skating, swimming and a variety of leisure and organized sports. There are many service clubs across the Swan Valley providing the opportunity for both service and socializing. Several different denominations are represented in a number of churches across the municipality.


The Swan Valley Health Centre is a $35 million Acute Care Facility, completed in 2005 that services the Swan Valley Region.  There are 9 physicians servicing the Valley with many operating out of the new Swan Valley Primary Care Centre.  The region also has 3 Personal Care homes.


Many communities have elementary schools and those without have access to education though other Swan Valley communities.

The Swan Valley Regional Secondary School (SVRSS) is the regional high school for all of the Swan Valley communities. The High School program offers a traditional academic stream as well as a vocational training in Business and Marketing, Cosmetology, Electricity, Environmental Management, Family and Community Services, Food Services, Information Technology and Power Mechanics. The state-of-the-art facility boasts modern technology

University College of the North has a presence on the SVRSS campus, offering several dual credit programs for high school students as well as post secondary training.
